ABOUT ME

How ironic that as I sat down to write this, I was struck by writer’s block. I’ve been writing my entire adult life – crafting individual words into content that promotes businesses; making the sometimes-mundane sound desirable and demystifying the high-tech into language the non-technically oriented can understand.

You could say my life has revolved around the manipulation of the English language, something that excites and drives aspiring and published authors. But there was a huge chasm between announcing to my parents at the age of six that it was my intention to become a novelist, and finally planting my behind in a seat and writing a novel decades later.

I am fortunate to live in a small seaside village on South Africa’s beautiful East Coast with my husband and two dogs. My debut novel, Under Construction, is set slightly north of where I live and was inspired by the nine years I worked in the construction sector.
